Pluralistische Gewalt

Himmel und Hölle

"Es gibt Menschen, die wollen in den Himmel kommen, aber auf dem Weg dahin schicken sie eine ganze Nation in die Hölle."
Der arabisch-israelische Politiker Mohammed Barakeh, Vorsitzender der jüdisch-arabischen sozialistischen Hadasch-Partei, im Interview mit der Tageszeitung "Haaretz" (13. Dezember) auf die Frage, ob der bewaffnete Kampf der Hamas den palästinensischen Interessen schade.

Das andere Gaza

"The other Gaza, about which you will not hear on the news, is trying to remain sane in any way it can. It speaks poetry, writes prose, tells stories and holds art exhibitions. The city's performers get up on stage – albeit a small one, without an audience of thousands, but applause rings out nevertheless. The other Gaza makes movies – albeit short ones, just like its stretch of coastline, but grassroots movies that reflect the reality of the city nevertheless.
The other Gaza dreams just like other cities do. There, too, is a young boy who dreams of playing soccer in Europe, and another who dreams of winning a Nobel Prize, an actor who aspires to make it to Hollywood, a girl who wants to be Miss Universe, and a student who wants to register patents."

Es gibt es, ein anderes Gaza, schreibt Atef Abu Saif (Ynet-News, 27. November). Nicht das Untergrund-Gaza der Hamas, von dem seit dem Sommer immer wieder zu lesen war. Ein Gaza jenseits von Krieg und Zerstörung, Extremismus und Besatzung. Ein Gaza mit ganz normalen Träumen und Träumern.

Was ist besser, Gaza oder Beit Jalla, hat bei unsrem letzten Gazabesuch jemand eine der Ordensschwestern gefragt. Gaza, keine Frage. Die Antwort kam ohne Zögern. Gaza ist etwas ganz besonderes, die Gemeinschaft ist einzigartig, pflichtet eine Mitschwester ihr bei. Dieses Gaza ist schön!

Lebenslänglich
